Gerardo Cesari, as a real initiator, when in 1936 founded the company, he became the creator of the soul, which embodying a care for tradition, his successors continue and encourage today, as an expression of distinction with the very same passion. The vineyards situated in the gentle hills in the province of Verona, as S. Pietro in Cariano where 40 company-owned hectars give birth to the Amarone. In the early sixties Gerardo’s son Franco became directly involved in the company. The range of classics like Amarone, Valpolicella, Bardolino, Soave was extended to include other vines of international reknown as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, all coming from 100 hectares of vineyards, partly owned by the company and in part by other winegrowers who operate under the careful control of Cesari’s agronomists. Company continuity is represented, in everyday activity, by the new wine cellars at Cavaion Veronese. It is here that the classic wines are produced, refined in wood and bottled with procedures that absolutely respect their most fundamental nature. All of which gives rise to that “soul’ that guarantee of consistency which is itself a virtue. From this is derived the quality and service offered by Cesari, invigorated by the vital initiative skills of new collaborators, which can only encourage, in connoisseurs of “good drinking’ those feelings of intimacy, friendship and good cheer that are the very essence of excellent wines.
