Mont Marçal Vinícola S.A. is nestled in the “Mas Lluet de Dalt” farm right in the heart of the Penedés wine region at an altitude of 220 metres above sea level in the municipality of Castellví de la Marca.
The farm house was completely modified at the close of the XIX century, but as we can find the site identified on February 18, 1317, its origins date back to the medieval times. When they were the owners, the Discalced Carmelites of Vilafranca constructed a chapel, dedicated to the Virgin.
Mont Marçal Vinícola S.A. was founded by the Sancho family in 1975, and since those days, it has produced high quality wines and Cavas using the most advanced technological methods of the Penedés, D. Cava and more recently, the Catalonian DOs. The farm has 40 hectares of its own vineyards and controls almost 300 hectares of the neighbouring grape suppliers, which produce Macabeo, Xarel lo, Parellada, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscatel, Merlot, Tempranillo, Sirah and Trepat varieties.
